Absorbing film about drugs and parties who are involved in its existence: Pushers, addicts, and those who are fighting against it.

Douglas plays a seemingly uncompromising new head of DEA who fails to keep his own family away from his biggest enemy.

Zeta-Jones plays the wife of a drug cartel who just finds out what her husband has been doing to make a very comfortable living for their family.

Cheadle plays a battle-hardened DEA agent who tries to catch a big fish by trying to make a dealer testify against his big boss.

Multiple stories intersect nicely in this mature drama. Excellent cast are great to watch. ***
