JP golf meet tees off Friday

JAKARTA: Ninety golfers will compete in The Jakarta Post 20th
Anniversary Golf Tournament on Friday at the Rancamaya Golf &
Country Club in Bogor, West Java.

The tournament, which will be played in an individual
strokeplay format, provides a BMW and Rp 70 million (US$8,295) in
cash prizes for hole-in-one winners.

The participants, who come from The Post's business partners,
will be divided into three groups: Flight A with handicap up to
18, Flight B with handicap between 19 to 28 and Ladies Flight
with the maximum handicap of 36.

The shotgun tee off is scheduled for 7 a.m. The tournament is
organized in line with the anniversary of The Post, which was
established in 1983. --JP
