Journalists nominated for int'l award

JAKARTA: The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) named five Indonesians of six journalists for an award over reports tolerance issues toward racism and discrimination.

The five journalists are Nezar Patria and Karaniya Dharmasaputra from Tempo magazine, Helmayanti and Ayu Purwaningsih from private radio station Radio 68-H and Masrur Jamaludin from private television station Metro TV.

While the remaining journalist is a Philippino named Jose Torres Jr. from ABS-CBN television station.

The IFJ provides a total 3,000 Euro and the announcement of the winner will be held in Manila, Philippina, in June. -- JP.
