Journalists make peace with PSSI

JAKARTA (JP): Soccer Association of Indonesia (PSSI) officials settled their grievances on Wednesday with local soccer journalists.

PSSI chairman Agum Gumelar met with journalists and apologized for any blunders committed by his officials. Agum, who is also the minister of communication, said he had asked his officials to stay humble.

Soccer journalists coordinator Daniel Siahaan made various appeals to the association and called on it to become more professional.

Sports journalists have been boycotting PSSI and its activities since early this month. They had threatened not to report on the Independence Cup which is scheduled for later this month. (ivy)
