Joint hearing with AG fails

JAKARTA: A hearing at the House of Representatives with
Attorney General (AG) Abdul Rachman Saleh failed to materialize
on Monday due to a miscommunication between the two sides.

Abdul Rachman said lawmakers changed the agenda of the
hearing, which was jointly arranged by House Commission II for
domestic affairs and Commission III for legal affairs. He also
said he could not attend the entire meeting because of a Cabinet
meeting later in the day.

The attorney general said he received an invitation to the
hearing from Commission II on Feb. 27.

Thairman of House Commission II, Teras Narang, who presided
over the hearing, postpone the meeting until Feb. 17. -- JP
