Jogjakarta Plaza has writing competition

YOGYAKARTA: To commemorate its 10th anniversary, which will fall
on July 10, 2005, Jogjakarta Plaza Hotel on Jl. Gejayan will hold
a writing competition for journalists from both local and
national media.

Taking Unity in 10 as its central theme, the competition is
open for writing published within the period June 20 to July 30,
2005, in the media of the respective participating journalists.
Each article should consists of 5,000 to 7,000 characters.

"The deadline for receipt of articles is Aug. 5, 2005," hotel
public relations officer Yustianti Risnasari said, adding that
the announcements would be sent by mail to each of the winners.

For the three winners, the top prize will be Rp 2.5 million
plus a three-day/two-night tour to Bali. The runner-up will be
given Rp 1.5 million in prize money plus a three-day/two-night
tour to Surabaya, East Java. The third prize will Rp 1 million
plus a three-day/two-night tour of Purwakarta, West Java. -- JP
