Jember versity to get medical school

SURABAYA: Jember State University Rector Kabul Grahadi said here on Friday the university planned to establish a medical school by 2003.

The new school will initially have 68 students, adding to the university's student body of about 13,900.

"Currently the university is a teaching university, by 2003 we hope that it will become a research university," Kabul said as quoted by Antara. (mds)
