JCB appoints new director

JAKARTA (JP): The Jakarta Convention Bureau (JCB) has appointed Indra Sukirno its new executive director replacing David Hall who resigned this month.

JCB's chairman, Tony Bruggemans, said here over the weekend that Indra was the right person to run the bureau.

Indra has a background in public relations and tourism and has been with JCB since it started.

JCB was initiated by a group of five-star hoteliers called the Casa Grande in late 1994 and is supported by the City Tourist Office.

It was set up to raise awareness of the city as a place for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions. (icn)
