Jazzy carols to enliven charity do

JAKARTA: The non-denominational Indonesian Christian Church in Bekasi Timur (GKI Bektim) will host a charity concert on Friday in the hall of the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology's building on Jl. MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

Titled "For God so loves the world -- Celebrating Christmas with Creative Jazzy Tunes", the concert will feature performances by the Sonax Sapora Band from Surabaya, Penabur Children's Choir, the Seven Chorale, and singers Edo Kondologit and Vonny Sumlang.

The money raised during the event will go toward the development of the church's health clinic, which provides basic healthcare and dentistry services, said the Rev. Ferdy Suleeman, the chairman of the event's organizing committee.
