Jazz festival held this weekend

TANGERANG: Top local jazz musicians and singers,
including Ireng Maulana, Ermi Kulit and Endin, will perform at
the two day Red and White Jazz Festival this weekend.

The third annual show will take place in Lippo Karawaci Taman
Sari, Tangerang, on Saturday and Sunday.

Unlike previous shows, this year's festival does not involve
foreign artists.

Among those to perform on the first day are Ireng Maulana and
friends, and popular bossa nova singer Ermi Kulit.

The second day will feature, among others, Elfa's Big Band,
Elfa's Singers and talented young singer Andin.

The cost of staging the show is estimated at Rp 150 million.
Single entry tickets cost Rp 25,000 according to the organizer,
Kenny Primaputra J, who added that the event was expected to
attract 2,000 visitors. -- JP
