Japanese religious tour of East Timor

DILI, East Timor: A group of Catholics in Japan are planning to go on a religious tour of East Timor to pray at the Cristo Regi (Christ the King) statue, Antara reported Monday.

The 15 Japanese Catholic women plan to arrive in East Timor's capital of Dili in early July.

"We hope all Indonesian people, particularly the Catholics, will pray for us in the hope that our pilgrimage will run smoothly," said Father Norbert Nahak, who was born in East Nusa Tenggara. (swe)
