Japanese on nostalgic visit
JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya: About 57 Japanese tourists visited the peace monument in Sarni, Jayapura, to pay homage to family members who died during the World War II.
I. Iskandar, manager of the local branch of Natrabu travel agency, said the tourists also visited a monument at Bosnik beach in east Biak, the site where the Japanese forces arrived when they began the military occupation of the territory.
