Japanese firm eyes SEAG role
JAKARTA (JP): Japanese advertising agency Hakuhodo has announced it is interested in taking part in the fund-raising program for the 19th Southeast Asian Games here next year.
David Hawcet, Hakuhodo's director of sports events, said after a meeting with the chairman of the Games Organizing Committee, Wismoyo Arismunandar, that Indonesia is an enormous potential market for such a big sporting event.
Hawcet suggested that the committee appoint more consortia other than just the one led by Bambang Trihatmodjo for the fund- raising program, to create competitiveness among bidders.
Hakuhodo is the second Japanese company to forward a fund raising proposal for the SEA Games, after Densu did so in March. (yan)
