Jakarta to host int'l sixes tour

JAKARTA: The Jakarta Cricket Association will host an
international sixes tournament on Saturday and Sunday in Cibubur,
East Jakarta.

The spokesman for the tournament organizers, James W. Howlett,
said on Wednesday the Crown Jakarta International Sixes
tournament would feature 10 teams.

Three teams from Singapore and Malaysia, two teams from Bali
and five teams from a Jakarta-based cricket league will compete
in the event.

For the first time ever, the tournament will see a full
Indonesian side and International Cricket Council-qualified
Indonesian umpires officiating the event, Howlett said.

The tournament, which will be held at the Cibubur cricket
ground, is being sponsored by Crown relocations company and
cosponsored by Kabelvision. -- JP
