Jakarta to get new condominium
JAKARTA (JP): Governor Surjadi Soedirdja is scheduled to inaugurate two condominiums and two apartment units, called the Taman Pasadenia Pulomas Project, in Pulomas, East Jakarta on Oct. 25, a company executive said yesterday.
Gemala Misori W. Biantoro Wanandi, the president director of PT Pulomas, said the company has completed construction of the two condominiums, which consist of 146 units of various types, and two apartment buildings, which consist of 50 units of various types. He said the construction of the condos and the apartments were the first phase of the project.
"The second and the third phases of the US$87 million project will be the construction of two other condominiums, two more apartments, a shopping center, sports venues and several other public facilities, which is expected to be completed by the year 2000," Biantoro said.
He said the company is owned by the city-owned developer PT Pulomas Jaya, the Gemala Group, Ongko Group and Strait Steamship Land Ltd of Singapore.
Biantoro said the selling price of a condominium unit ranges from $120,000 to $550,000 while the rental price for an apartment unit ranges from $1000 to $2000 per month.
Director of PT Pulomas Jaya Iman Soenario said that 20 percent of the project area is designed for buildings, while the remaining 80 percent has been designated for open areas.
He said the company will also renovate the Pulomas horse racing track. (jun)
