Jakarta a safe place, for whom?

Words spoken by Gen. Wiranto and other officials still ring in people's ears, that Jakarta is safe again after real turbulence. But what does "safe" mean?

To work as a bus driver and get beaten by hoodlums?

To work as a taxi driver and get killed/stabbed?

To visit Jakarta and get robbed and manhandled on a toll road?

And recently the situation worsened, with unrest coming as close as Pondok Indah, toll roads and common, everyday places.

Where are the people responsible for taking care of people's safety?

Tourism is definitely suffering, business is suffering. The next thing to follow is fear. And after fear?

It is high time real safety is implemented and guaranteed, not just words.
