Jagger beats Mother Teresa
LONDON (Reuter): Rolling Stone Mick Jagger beat Carlos the Jackal and Mother Teresa to become honorary president of the London School of Economics.
Jagger, who failed to complete his economics course at the college in the 1960s, follows in the footsteps of South African President Nelson Mandela and former Beirut hostage Terry Waite. He was elected by the students.
As honorary president, Jagger will speak to the students at a date that fits in with his concert schedule. He is currently on tour with the Rolling Stones in the United States.
