Iwan Fals to stage concert in Manado

MANADO, North Sulawesi: Well-known singer and legendary musician Iwan Fals will stage a concert on Thursday at the Klabat Stadium in Manado, North Sulawesi.

The show coordinator, Putut Soebagya, said here on Wednesday that Iwan will also hold similar concerts in Makassar, South Sulawesi and 15 other major cities in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and East and West Nusa Tenggara.

He said the committee had made thorough preparations for the concerts.

Iwan, widely known for his strong criticism of the government in his lyrics, arrived in Manado on Tuesday.

Putu said that during the concerts, Iwan will perform some of his famous old songs and some new ones from his newly-released album. --Antara
