IT applications help students learn physics

To make the study of physics more enjoyable, the Jakarta State University (UNJ) will hold a seminar on "the Use of Information Technology (IT) on physics learning" at the university campus in Rawamangun, East Jakarta on Dec. 8.

Students, teachers, lecturers are invited to come to the seminar, which will feature Director General of High Education at the Ministry of National Education Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro as keynote speaker and several IT experts from local universities and an IT company.

Bambang Heru Iswanto from UNJ will present his paper on "Technology and Its Prospects", while Kardiawan from Bandung's Education University of Indonesia (UPI) will talk about "Models of Physics Learning with IT and Multimedia", while Bambang Yuwono of Pesona Edukasi IT will speak on "Software Development on Physics Learning".

Students who want to participate in the seminar will be charged a registration fee of Rp 100,000, while other participants are charged Rp 150,000.
