ISSI to send Santia to Athens

JAKARTA: Cyclist Santia Tri Kusuma has been selected to represent Indonesia in the Athens Games.

Santia, who contributed two gold medals to the Indonesian team in last year's Southeast Asian Games, won the coveted slot over fellow cyclist Uyun Muzizah.

The Indonesian Cycling Association (ISSI) said they had chosen Santia, who will compete in the point race, because she was more experienced than Uyun.

The inclusion of Santia brings the provisional list of athletes to 36, representing 13 sports, who will be heading to Athens in August. -- JP
