ISO award for Antam unit

JAKARTA (JP): Publicly-listed state mining company PT Aneka
Tambang (Antam) announced on Wednesday its precious metals
laboratory in East Jakarta had received the ISO GUIDE 25 Standard
certificate from the National Accreditation Body.

The certification would enable the laboratory to issue assay
certificates to companies putting their gold, silver, platinum
and other precious metals on test there, the company said in a
statement.

The laboratory is part of the facilities at Antam's precious
metals refinery unit, Logam Mulia, in Pulogadung.

The ceremony to award the certificate was held in Bandung on
Wednesday.

Antam also said Logam Mulia had received an international
certificate from the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) in
January this year for its ability to produce gold and silver of
standard weight and quality.

Logam Mulia's products thus earned a place on the London Good
Delivery List.(jsk)
