Is Europe dying?

Some people say Europe is dying, but is that true? Is Europe an old sick person, lying and waiting for its death?

If it is true, why do we feel so alive? Why is our heart still beating?

Maybe our pockets are not full of money, maybe we are not growing fast, but there is another way of growing, another way that is difficult to see, but possible to feel if you just look round, listen carefully, and feel what is in the air.

That is one of the things you can feel sitting in a small pretty town in the west of Spain, in the Plaza Mayor, made of stone. These old stones are not sleeping, but are talking, looking at the people coming and going, laughing and running. These stones have as many things to say as the ones in the temples, never moving but always alive.

Every place in the world has something to show us; everyone we meet and talk to has something to teach us. We just need to be ready to listen to them.

There are so many new things we can discover by just looking at the people in the street!
