Irvine to visit Bali, Jakarta
JAKARTA (JP): Formula One driver Eddie Irvine of the Jaguar racing team will spend his year-end vacation from Dec. 24 to Jan. 4 in Bali and Jakarta.
"Irvine will be in Bali until Jan. 3 with F3000 driver Ananda Mikola, Sentul circuit manager Tinton Soeprapto and chairman of the Indonesian Motorsports Association (IMI) Jakarta chapter, Rio Sarwono," president of the Ananda Mikola Management (AMM) Gunawan Tjandra was quoted as saying by Antara news agency on Friday.
"Irvine will also meet business entrepreneurs, government and sport officials to explain the positive aspects of organizing an F-1 racing event."
Irvine is scheduled to witness the signing of a racing contract between Ananda and Astromega racing team for 2001 before inspecting the Sentul Circuit, Gunawan said. (nvn)
