I am a regular commuter on the Pulogadung-Kalideres bus route
of Patas No. 64 in Jakarta. I am often annoyed at the irregular
ticket fares imposed on passengers. One bus will charge Rp 550
and another one Rp 600 for the same route and distance.

The unfixed price often puts me in an embarrassing situation.
When I give Rp 1,000 and the bus conductor gives change of Rp
400, I ask whether the ticket price is Rp 600. The conductor will
almost always answer rudely: "Don't you know the fare for Patas
bus?"

As far as I remember the Jakarta government announced some
time ago that the ticket fare of Patas buses is Rp 550. And that
announcement was posted on the interior wall of the buses.
