Irene eyes two golds in KL SEA Games

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian sprinter Irene Truitje Joseph is
determined to win two gold medals from the women's 100 meters and
200 meters events in the Kuala Lumpur 2001 SEA Games.

"I only got one gold medal from the 100m event in the Brunei
Darussalam 1999 SEA Games. I finished second in the 200m event,"
she was quoted as saying by Antara news agency on Tuesday.

"I want to win both medals in Kuala Lumpur," she added.

She said her experience in the Sydney Olympics was something
to drive up her motivation.

"My performance in Sydney was disappointing as I couldn't even
improve my timings," she said. (nvn)
