Irene, Corke finish all square

JAKARTA: Women's Grand Master Anya Sun Corke came back to beat
local prodigy Irene Kharisma on Wednesday in Kelapa Gading, North
Jakarta, to tie their six-match series.

FIDE Master Irene, 13, held a 3-2 lead over her Hong Kong
opponent as the final match began, and dominated the early stages
of the contest. However, Corke, 14, was able to overcome her in
another hard-fought match.

The players split US$1,500, the combined purses of the
winner's and runner's up. -- JP
