IPTN plane for Defense
BANDUNG: The state aircraft manufacturer IPTN yesterday delivered a CN-235 plane whose interior was converted into a medical evacuation carrier to the Ministry of Defense and Security.
The aircraft is the fifth delivered from IPTN's plant here to the ministry. Two earlier planes were the paratrooper carrier version while two others were designed for dropping supplies at low altitude.
"We're very honored to have been trusted by the Ministry of Defense and Security and the Armed Forces (ABRI) to use the military version of CN-235 built by the nation's sons and daughters," Hari Laksono, IPTN senior executive vice president, said at the handover ceremony held at the plant's fixed wing hangar.
