IPB opens training project
BOGOR: The Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) began on Monday a farm management training project for arid areas, with participants from 11 African countries.
The participants came from Zimbabwe, Ghana, Madagascar, Swaziland, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Gambia, the Ivory Coast, Egypt and Seychelles.
The project, which will end on Feb. 20, is a part of the Non- Alliance Movement Center of South to South Technical Cooperation, which was established in 1995.
The executive director of the organizing committee, Adityawidi Adiwoso, said the classroom work at the IPB campus in Dermaga would be followed by field study in Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. -- JP
