IPA gets new president
JAKARTA: The Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA)'s board of directors named Chris B. Newton the association's new president.
Newton replaces Paul Warwick, who recently left Indonesia on a new assignment.
Newmont, who is based in Jakarta, is the president and general manager of Santos Asia Pacific and has worked extensively in the oil and gas industry, mainly in upstream operations and business development.
He graduated with honors from Collingwood College at the University of Durham in England with a degree in geology.
IPA groups all of the oil and gas contractors and service companies in the country. -- JP
