Investing in human resources

In the era of globalization, it is becoming increasingly important to emphasize the development of human resources. Countries which have identified this need and invested in developing these resources are not only "self-sufficient" in meeting their domestic needs, but also provide a pool of professionals and skilled workers for overseas assignments. This creates an additional source of foreign exchange earnings.

While analyzing the performance of various companies, it is evident that companies which have invested in developing human resources are comparatively more successful. Some of the large successful companies run their own educational and training centers, thus developing a competent workforce to meet their specific requirements.

They prepare their employees to meet all challenges by organizing training, refresher courses and seminars for all levels and at regular intervals. The success of these progressive companies can be attributed to the manpower planning and the development of human resources, which they consider as important as any other lucrative investment.
