International Kite Festival at Ancol

JAKARTA: Participants from 11 countries will take part in the
10th International Kite Festival being held this weekend in
Ancol, North Jakarta, the chairperson of the event's organizing
committee, Sari Madjid, said on Thursday.

The two-day event will feature 38 foreign participants and 98
participants from 17 provinces across Indonesia.

The 11 foreign countries that will be represented at the
festival are Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Japan, Germany,
Australia, the United States, Holland, Vietnam, South Korea and
Taiwan.

It is hoped that the festival will help boost sales of
Indonesian-made kites from Rp 10 million last year to Rp 10.5
million this year, Sari said.-- Antara
