Insurance for village chiefs

TANGERANG (JP): Tangerang regency administration has covered life insurance payment for 316 village chiefs here in a bid to uplift their welfare and boost their spirit to serve the public.

Tangerang regent H. Agus Djunara said the insurance have been effective since March 1.

"I hope (with the insurance) the village chiefs can fully perform their duties and work hard to serve the people," Agus said on the sidelines of an inauguration ceremony of nine new villages here on Thursday.

Agus said the insurance allowance will be given to the nine new village chiefs of Gelam Jaya, Suka Asih, Kuta Baru, Lengkong Baru, Pondok Jagung Timur, Bhakti Jaya, Sentul Jaya, Bencongan and Karang Tengah. (41/edt)
