Insight into one's own self

My late son, who was a devout Buddhist, taught me about karma. It is only now that I understand what he meant by: "To be able to change one's karma, one has to have a deep insight into one's own self".

And this is the hardest part to do: we all have to search for it. In other words, we all have to do some introspection.
