Insecure parking lot at Mal Ciputra
On March 17, 2001, I parked my motorcycle in the basement of Mal Ciputra, Jakarta, at 7:15 a.m. When I returned at 3:20 p.m., I found that my motorcycle was gone. How could someone take my motorcycle out of the parking lot. Didn't the security guard ask the person for the parking ticket and return the identity card as is the usual procedure at the mall? Why didn't the security guard check to see if the motorcyclist is the same person on the ID card? How could this carelessness and lack of responsibility occur at such a big mall with a good reputation?
I would like to call on the management to pay more attention to security for the sake of the customers. The management must not take thefts lightly by simply apologizing to the victims.
