Inmate killed in prison

JAKARTA (JP): A 26-year-old convict at Cipinang Penitentiary
in East Jakarta was killed on Friday by a fellow convict.

A police report disclosed on Sunday that Irfan, convicted for
theft, died from head wounds.

The report said that the two prisoners had once fought with
each other but had settled the dispute. The cause of their
animosity was not known by prison guards.

Police are still investigating. (ylt)
