Information about studying in Japan

The Japanese Embassy's education section provides information
on the Monbukakusho scholarships and various books and brochures
about studying in Japan.

These book can be read free of charge in the lobby. The
embassy hopes the information, books and brochures will be useful
for prospective students at Japanese institutions.

The address of the education section of the Japanese Embassy
is Menara Thamrin, Lt. 7, Kav. 3, Jl. M.H. Thamrin, Central
Jakarta. It is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed at
12:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).

Each Japanese consulate also provides information on studying
in Japan. Addresses of the Japanese consulates are:

Japanese Consulate Surabaya, Jl. Raya Darmo Permai II/17,
Surabaya.

Japanese Consulate Medan, Jl. Suryo No. 12. Medan.

Japanese Consulate Makassar (formerly Ujungpandang)), Jl.
Jend. Sudirman No. 31, Makassar.

The Association of International Education in Japan (AIEJ),
has opened a branch in Jakarta at Summitmas I/ Fifth Floor, Jl.
Jend. Sudirman Kav. 61-62. Jakarta (Tel: 2521912).

The staff can also provide useful information on study
opportunities in Japan.
