Industrial estates open

JAKARTA (JP): The Suryacipta industrial estate at Kutamekar
near Karawang town in West Java has opened to investors, said
Basroni Rizal, the president of PT Suryacipta Swadaya, the owner
and manager of the facility.

"Investors can now buy developed industrial lots of various
sizes ranging from 4,000 square meters to 100 hectares," Basroni,
former president of the Rungkut industrial estate in Surabaya,
added.

He said the access bridge from the Karawang Barat toll gate to
the 1,000-hectare industrial estate had been completed and was
inaugurated by PT Suryacipta's Chairman Benjamin A. Suriadjaya
last week.

"We have obtained a permanent industrial estate license from
the Investment Coordinating Board and a 30 year right-of-building
title from the West Java Office of the National Land Agency,"
Basroni said.

Obayashi of Japan, the main constructor of the industrial
estate, has accelerated the development of industrial plots
within the complex to meet demand from investors, he added. (vin)
