Indriyani, Winarni cheered at hometown

BANDARLAMPUNG, Lampung (JP): Thousands of people in Tanggamus,
Lampung, stood along the road Wednesday to cheer local heroines
Sri Indriyani and Winarni, who won bronzes in the just-concluded
Olympic Games.

Both weightlifters were greeted officially by Tanggamus regent
Achmad Syah Putra before being paraded along the 10-km road.

"Due to their achievements, not just nationally but
internationally, we will give special rewards for them and I
promise that the rewards will be handed over soon," Achmad said,
as quoted by Antara. (yan)
