Indovision responds

With regard to the letter from Michael Beer titled Indovision does not care (The Jakarta Post, April 26), we would like to clarify as follows.

Emails and SMS are the most cost-efficient means of communication (also the best communication inventions in our lifetime), thus we are encouraging our subscribers to use these technologies to bring down operating costs both for our subscribers and for Indovision.

Our objective is to bring down operating cost so that we can add more content value when opportunities arise, like HBO Signature, at no extra charge for our subscribers.

All SMS are electronically recorded as we receive them from the telecommunications providers, and they are reviewed regularly. Thus, we believe (a) we have provided the necessary discipline to ensure that all messages received are attended too; and (b) the majority of our subscribers, if not all, own cellular phones and SMS is the most widely used method of communication.

However, if you find our service does not meet your expectations, we would appreciate it very much if you would provide us with your complete home address, other than your PO box, so we can serve you better.
