Indovision disaster

The situation with Indovision, as Douglas Leurquin explained in his letter of Feb. 16, is, in fact, even worse.

After the promised six to eight weeks passed without any further information, we were told over the phone to pay an additional Rp 880,000 to Indovision and then the service would be reinstated and a new parabola installed within three to 10 days. It is still not clear why we had to pay this money, as we had a full year prepaid subscription just four months before Indovision dropped its service. Indovision's customer service department refused to send us a bill; kind of accept it or wait forever.

Well, stupid enough, we paid this amount only to find out, after we made the payment, "sorry, it will take another three to eight weeks until the service is reinstated ..."

Interesting is the fact that any new customer who goes to the local agent of Indovision -- Arjuna Parabola in Denpasar -- and pays the required Rp 2.6 million gets the new parabola installed and Indovision on his screen in only three days.

As we consider such behavior fraudulent, we will take legal action against Indovision if our last-given deadline of Feb. 19 is not met. It is not about money, really, it is about putting a stop to companies playing dirty games with their customers.
