Indosat, StarHub tie up

JAKARTA (JP): State-owned international direct dial (IDD) operator PT Indosat has signed an operational agreement with Singapore's new IDD operator StarHub, Indosat's spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said on Monday.

Under the so-called proportionated return traffic agreement, StarHub is required to direct one percent of the total outgoing calls it receives from Singapore to Indonesia to Indosat's lines and vice versa.

Budi said the cooperation would be effective starting in April when StarHub would begin its commercial service to offer IDD links to over 200 countries, including Indonesia. (cst)
