Indosat plans to market global bond

JAKARTA: PT Indosat plans to start marketing its U.S. dollar- denominated bond to overseas investors early next month, via roadshows in the world's top financial centers, company president Widya Purnama said on Thursday.

The country's second-largest telecommunications company hasn't yet decided how much bonds it's going to sell.

"But if we get a good (credit) rating, we may be able to issue up to US$300 million," company president Widya Purnama said.

He said company officials, together with lead underwriters, ING, Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital, will meet investors in Singapore, Hong Kong, London and New York.

Besides the international issuance, Indosat is also in the process of selling Rp 1.25 trillion ($149 million) of local bonds to refinance some of its $900 million debt later this year. -- JP
