Indonesian menu in Ericsson

A friend of mine uses an Ericsson 768c mobile phone which has
an Indonesian menu. It's good to know that the first pioneering
Indonesian menu on Nokia's mobile phones has Ericsson following
suit. It shows that Indonesia's market is still a potential one.

However, the Indonesian menu on the Ericsson 768c is sometimes
difficult to understand.

It's because Ericsson tried to short-form the Indonesian
translation in order to fit the phone display. The display is
only one row wide while the Indonesian translation of the menus
tends to be longer. I believe Ericsson has done its best for the
Indonesian translation by using qualified translators to produce
easy-to-read menus. It's the Ericsson handset display that needs
to be changed to accommodate it and other languages.

I look forward to seeing more new models of handsets in
Indonesia's market, be it Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola or others.
Customers will have a wide range of products to choose from and
with cheaper prices.
