Indonesia Open bowling begins
JAKARTA: The Second Indonesia International Open Tenpin Bowling Championship began on Sunday at Jaya Ancol Bowling Alley with some 100 local and 125 foreign bowlers participating in the event.
The players bowlers from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Brunei, Australia, Finland and Britain.
The Rp 490 million (around US$53,790) bowling tournament will have several categories from Masters to Juniors and individual and team events.
"I'm very proud that the bowling tournament is being widely supported by international organizations and bowlers," the event organizer Oky Harwanto said in statement.
The tournament will end on Oct. 10. -- JP
