Indonesia needs batik museum

YOGYAKARTA: The time has come for Indonesia to establish a
batik museum, well-known batik painter Ardiyanto says.

Ardiyanto, who collects hundreds of ancient batik clothes
dating back to 1850, said such a museum could help preserve the
priceless inheritance of the country.

He said that he has no fund to build such a museum but he
hopes that someone or the government could make his dream come
true one day, Antara reported. (05)
