Indofood's profits up 37%

JAKARTA (JP): PT Indofood Sukses Makmur announced yesterday
that its net profits for the first quarter of 1996, ending March
31, increased by 37 percent to Rp 76 billion (US32 million) over
the same period of last year.

An executive of the company, Eva Riyanti Hutapea, said in a
statement that Indofood's consolidated sale revenues rose by 90
percent to Rp 679 billion in the first quarter of this year
from the same period of last year. (alo)
