Indofood sees 2002 sales up 10%
JAKARTA: Publicly listed instant noodle maker PT Indofood Sukses Makmur expects sales revenue this year to increase by 10 percent on the back of strong domestic sales.
Indofood president Eva Riyanti Hutapea said on Wednesday the company would focus on the local market in 2002.
"After looking at the current situation, we have decided to go back to basics and focus on the existing market," Eva said.
The company posted sales revenue of Rp 14.6 trillion (US$1.52 billion) in 2001.
"We want our products to be found everywhere in the country, and we will cancel all acquisition plans for this year," she said.
Indofood posted a 2001 net profit of Rp 746.3 billion, up from Rp 646.2 billion the previous year. -- JP
