During the month of August awards and medals are presented by
the government to coincide with independence day celebrations on

Inten explained that there are 7,888 persons which have been
accorded the status of independence movement pioneers, of which
423 are still alive.

Inten told journalists that the Ibu Tien Soeharto Foundation
will be awarding 10,000 scholarships.

Furthermore, the Dharmais Foundation and the Supersemar
Foundation, both chaired by President Soeharto, will each hand
