In the name of love

Sacrifices she makes pleases her man
for a while, no career or nothing in hand.
She does it with the belief it's all right;
In the name of love, she does it all.

Nine months or something, looking ugly.
She doesn't mind, she loves it and looks to it.
Tell herself it's her own choice,
In the name of love, she thinks she's happy.

Sleepless nights, tending the two.
New born child, company for you.
It's not getting any easier, she's tired and bored,
She holds on in the name of love.

Puberty, every man goes through it.
Less love, more lies.
She has nothing to run,
She has lost her chance in the name of love.

Experience

Bang ... bang, our heads are in the run,
Darkness is all around, nothing you can do
But wait for the movements to an end;
The split second seems forever.

All the past comes into your mind,
The grief, the tears of the loved ones.
The good and the bad times, the arguments,
The blessing of your arrival. All in that moment.

You're still in the darkness,
Memories come again. The love, the hatred;
You felt suddenly changed into misery.
Will I be lost? Will I feel that one more time?

Another second goes by,
Still uncertain, the coldness inside creeps
Down to your soul. Fear and worry mix
In a big speculation: what's going to be?

You have thrashed out on death,
Religiously, not to mention rationally.
You were convinced you were ready, anytime
It came to take your last breath.

Talking is easy, once you face reality,
You are no longer the slick bravado,
You just think and pray and say,
I'm not ready yet to go.

It stops. Your heart's aching,
Lightness comes, relieved.
Imagine the story on how you dealt
with Mr. Death. Bragging how cool you'd been.
