In the driver's seat

In reference to Walter Wildner's letter "Discrimination" on March 27, I would like to commend Kem Chicks for not being bullied into breaking its rules. All too often firms here take the easy way out and give in to demanding customers. Like saying nothing to a customer with a full shopping cart who lines up at a supermarket counter that has a sign reading "maximum of nine items only".

Or someone who jumps the line at a department store counter just because they think they are in more of a hurry than the person in front of them.

Shoppers' arrogance has worsened over the years, but at least there is one store that sticks to its rules.

I for one will continue to shop at Kem Chicks, and park in a self-driving ladies spot if I'm lucky enough to find one empty.
